Equipment
The package is complete, there are all the necessary accessories for operating the robot vacuum cleaner for at least six months after purchase.
Appearance
Now let’s take a look at the robot vacuum cleaner itself. Abir X8 round, glossy black. A lidar for navigation is installed on top of the body. Next to it are two control buttons: start / pause and return to the base for charging. By the way, the lidar itself is equipped with a mechanical button that prevents the robot from getting stuck under the furniture.
View from above
It is important to note that the cabinet height is about 96mm. A soft-touch mechanical bumper is installed at the front. On its right side there is a wall detection sensor, or as it is also called ToF sensor. It helps the robot to move as close as possible along the walls for a more thorough cleaning.
Side view
The dust collector is located at the back. It holds up to 600 ml of dry waste. It’s good roominess. An engine is installed inside, so rinsing the container with water is prohibited. Above is a filtration system based on a mesh and HEPA filter.
Dust collector
Instead of a dust collector, you can install a water tank in the robot vacuum cleaner with a volume of up to 360 ml according to the manufacturer’s statement. It has a small compartment for collecting garbage.
Container for water
In wet mode, the Abir X8 is not capable of vacuuming, but it can sweep the floor with the side and center brushes. Inside we see an installed pump for electronic regulation of the water supply. The napkin is fastened with Velcro, water enters it through 2 holes from the bottom.
Napkin
Let’s see how the Abir X8 is arranged from below. It has 2 side brushes. They are three-beam, quick-detachable, with pile brushes. Provides additional protection against side winding. There are 3 fall protection sensors installed at the bottom.
Bottom view (without napkin)
In the center we see a turbo brush, it is bristly-petal. It can be disassembled on both sides for cleaning from hair and wool, this is a plus.
Central brush
Well, in front of the brush, an ultraviolet lamp is installed for surface disinfection. Not that I believe in its effectiveness, I just show that it is.
Bottom view with napkin
In general, the robot is made well, the build quality is slightly above average. There are no serious complaints about the design.
Specifications
The main characteristics of the Abir X8, declared by the manufacturer:
- Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery.
- Suction power 2500–5000 Pa.
- Cleaning area> 100 m2
- Battery life up to 120 min.
- Dust container 600 ml.
- Water tank 360 ml.
- Passage of obstacles up to 2 cm.
- Dimensions 330 * 96 mm.

The characteristics are quite standard for this price category. In some product cards on Ali, there is information that the suction power reaches 5000 Pa, but I cannot personally confirm this. On a fully charged battery, Abir X8 will be able to clean up to 100 sq.m. area, while it is provided to continue cleaning after recharging at the base. So he will be able to clean large areas.
Functionality
Let’s move on to an overview of the functions of the robot vacuum cleaner. Controlled by Abir X8 via the Weback mobile app. Many Chinese robots work on it. Installation was straightforward. When I first entered Weback, I was prompted to update the software version, which I did.
App control
After the familiarization drive, the map is displayed on the main operating panel. The robot automatically zoned her into rooms, which is a plus.
Main operating panel
In the settings, the first to be displayed is the ability to clear the current map if necessary and adjust the volume of voice notifications. By the way, Abir X8 speaks Russian, which is a plus. You can also enable the threshold crossing mode, cleaning with additional charging at the base, change the name of the robot and set up a cleaning schedule. In setting the schedule, you can only select the time and day of the week, not a lot.
Functions
There is a cleaning log, the ability to choose the language of voice notifications, as well as a choice of area units and the ability to share control with other family members.
This is for the basic settings. Now let’s talk about functions. On the main working panel, you can select the desired rooms for cleaning, edit the map by connecting several rooms into one, or vice versa, dividing the desired room into zones. In addition, the robot stores several cleaning cards in its memory. You can direct the Abir X8 to the desired area on the map for local cleaning, select a cleaning area with a rectangle, set virtual walls and restricted areas on the map. These are all possibilities when working with a map.
The bottom row of buttons is responsible for starting and stopping the cleaning process, adjusting the suction power, the water supply level when the water tank is installed, and forcibly returning to the base for charging. If you click on the “More” button, additional options will open, namely: search for a robot by sound, local cleaning mode and manual control.
As you can see, the capabilities of the Abir X8 are quite consistent with its cost. Additionally, control is provided through the remote control included in the kit.
Remote control
Using the remote control, you can turn on and off the robot vacuum cleaner, start the automatic cleaning mode, forcibly return the robot to the base for charging, manually direct it to the right place for cleaning, and start it with a button in the center. Under the joystick there are buttons for adjusting the suction power, as well as the local cleaning mode and the mode of walking the perimeter of the room.
In addition, the robot vacuum cleaner supports control via the Yandex.Alisa voice assistant, which is a plus.
With the functions sorted out, let’s move on to the tests.
Navigation
The first step is to check the navigation of the Abir X8 in the obstacle room. The robot vacuum cleaner first passes the available area around the perimeter, then proceeds to cleaning with a snake. He was able to wrap around each of the chair legs and around the box without getting stuck on the dryer. There are no uncleaned areas left, for cleaning about 11 sq.m. it took 12 minutes. Cleaning speed is good, test passed successfully.
Navigating within a room
As for cleaning the entire area of the house, even at the first acquaintance with the room, the robot was able to determine the boundaries of the rooms and cleaned each room one after another, first passing the perimeter, then the available area with a snake. And accordingly he painted the rooms in different colors, showing that he separated them.
Navigation within the home
During the first pass, the robot cleared the entire area, spending 32 minutes. On the second pass, he cleared even faster, reducing the cleaning cycle to 27 minutes. Navigation is very good with this model, even as for a lidar robot vacuum cleaner. The test passed successfully.
Suction power
In terms of suction power, the Abir X8 is capable of efficiently sucking debris out of a 2mm deep slot. He even managed to suck a little debris out of the 4-millimeter gap. Suction power at the level of premium analogues. This power is sufficient to automatically maintain cleanliness in the house.
Suction power
Dry cleaning on laminate
The quality of dry cleaning was also good. The robot vacuum cleaner was able to pick up all the small debris from the stand, including wool and hair. Even the quality of cleaning in the corners is above average, given that the robot is round. Hair is wrapped around the brushes, but in any case, most of the debris is collected in the dust collector.
Dry cleaning on laminate
Cleaning the carpet
And on the carpet, Abir X8 showed a good cleaning result. He was able to collect hair, fur, and debris that had been used in the previous test.
Cleaning the carpet
Wet cleaning
When it comes to wet mopping, this robot vacuum wipes the floor in a Y-shaped pattern like floor polishers. Thanks to this, the robot is able to better wipe off dirt from the floor, and this test confirms this. Even with this amount of dirt, the robot was able to wash everything. There are no stains, there are minimal stains, but this is due to the fact that the napkin itself is crammed with dirt.
Wet cleaning
But for delicate wet cleaning Abir X8 is perfect. The water tank is sufficient for the entire cleaning cycle, the floor wetting is good enough at the maximum water supply level. As a result, there are no complaints about wet cleaning.
Passage of obstacles
According to the manufacturer, Abir X8 is capable of overcoming sills up to 20 mm high, but in fact, in our tests, it overcame only a 15-mm sill, and 2 cm was beyond its strength. The cross-country ability is not the best for this model.
Passage of obstacles
Passage of dark surfaces
There are also problems with the passage of dark surfaces. The robot cleaner recognizes the black mat as a difference in height. This is a minus.
Passage of dark surfaces
Noise level
Well, in conclusion, we measure the noise level of the Abir X8 in different modes. In polisher mode with the suction off, the noise level is about 55 dB, which is quite quiet. At the minimum power, the noise level is about 58 dB, in the average power mode it reaches 61 dB, and at the maximum power the peak value was 64 dB. Basically, the robot vacuum cleaner is quite quiet with this suction power.

Summing up
Abir X8 has been reviewed and tested in detail. He was able to score 66 out of 100 points and was confidently placed among the rest of the premium robot vacuum cleaners in the table. The result is good considering the cost.
As for my personal opinion about this robot, I certainly liked it:
- High level of navigation.
- Automatic zoning of premises into rooms.
- Save multiple cleaning cards in memory.
- All advanced functionality in the application.
- Good quality wet and dry cleaning.
- Snake movement in floor mopping mode.
- Support for voice notifications in Russian.
- Good equipment.
- And the ability to control not only through the application, but also from the remote control, as well as through Alice.
Among the shortcomings I would like to highlight:
- The robot cannot vacuum and mop the floor at the same time.
- Not very good cross-country ability of the robot.
- Fear of dark surfaces, which the Abir X8 recognizes as elevation changes.
